Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on the 30th of December 1986. Ellie Goulding's enthralling electronic style swiftly brought her to the top charts after she drew the attention of the general public in 2010. She was able to achieve this feat with her singles "Starry Eyed" as well as "Guns and Horses". Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop.
