Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actress as well as a musician, playback singer and actress in Tamil films as well as Malayalam film. Annayum, a Malayalam film is her Malayalam acting debut. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in a Tamil Nadu Anglo-Indian family. Andrea's father was an Madras High Court lawyer. Her younger sister is a Belgian research assistant who works in Leuven. Jeremiah lived in the vicinity of Chennai she attended National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea, who began classical piano lessons at age eight years old, was classified as being a "geek" and aspired to become a psychiatrist until her 12th grade board exam. In her twenties, she became an active member of the Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the base of her early singing and music composing career. While at college, she was also a theater artist and performed in stage productions that were put on through The Madras Players. Andrea was president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her theatre career through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in a new Leo coffee commercial alongside actor Shiva in 2006. The actress also appeared in a television show that was telecast on Podhigai. The actress has appeared all over India. There was a brief appearance on the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). Gautham A. Menon invited her after she appeared in the film Vettaiyaadu, to perform as the lead female character in Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani in this film, which is an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel. Her husband takes part in an affair with her and she is subsequently blackmailed.
